"This..I introduce..." the attendant stammered over his words at a raised eyebrow from the man. "I have brought her, my lord," he finally managed, with a sweeping bow, and hurried from the area. The girl, nineteen at least, turned with a scowl to the amused lord.

"I'm quite sorry you had to come upon me in such a state," he said smoothly with a small nod, not turning his head. "If you are so inclined, I could better prepare and will be wearing much less clothing when you next arrive." The scowl deepened on the young warrior's face, but color flushed over her cheeks. "I assure you I have charms greater than any man..."

"I'm not here for games," she began, but he cut her off easily with authority.

"I asked that you come here, and so if I have the desire for games, you will comply. Now, then," he continued when she remained silent, glaring at him. "I did not, in fact, ask you here for games," and slyly added, " I have willing others for that occasion."

"I demand that you-!"

"My young friend, I could cut you down without a thought, with barely a twitch. You demand nothing from me here." He turned his head at that, the only move beside speaking she had seen him make, and the point of a long ear slipped from under the glimmering hair. The long catlike pupil of his eye came into focus without the window's glare and she nearly groaned aloud.

A fey. Now she was in trouble. The creatured grinned a smirk of victory.

"Ah, so now you understand."

Completely random, but I'm liking it! I don't usually work with faeries, or many elements of mythology actually, but my friend was writing a story the other day and asked me to edit. [She's really terrible at grammar and wording lol but the story had a great plot and good characters.]
I might actually take this passage and make a short story, because I'm intrigued to see what happens. And because I don't have Assassin's Creed to amuse me right now.

I failed it at first, and was like f this before I had even finished the outline or started the hair. a few hours later I was like "hey this isn't a fail!"
