Zeke whirled to see his friend sprinting the length of the club's bar, scattering drinks into angry faces as he went, one heavily tattooed hand held out before him and the other extended by his hold on a slender blade.
"Not a chance!" Zeke answered, already turned and parting the dancers in the same direction. He couldn't remove the concealment on his large and heavy weapon in such a crowded place, so a grimace and his own intricately designed hand had to lead the way.
Zeke reached the door at about the same moment his counterpart leapt in a frontflip from off the bar, and they burst into the night together, not slowing a second when they spotted the target escaping fast down the street. His friend nearly outdistanced him, but, feet from the sprinting target, Zeke jerked the now fully visible broadsword, a weapon too long and heavy for human arms, off his back.
